Thomas Höger, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer / Chief Financial Officer
Thomas Höger joined Apogenix GmbH as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer in November 2005. Prior to his current position, he worked as senior biotechnology analyst for DZ BANK, Frankfurt, Germany, for five years. From 1992 to 2000, he held various research and management positions at BASF AG and Knoll AG. Among other responsibilities, he headed an interdisciplinary team of more than 40 biologists and chemists in the field of central nervous system research.Thomas Höger obtained his Ph.D. in 1991 at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) after having studied biology at the Universities of Kiel, Heidelberg, and – as a Fulbright Scholar – at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, USA. In 2001, he completed his training as CEFA-analyst (“Certified European Federation of Financial Societies Financial Analyst”).
Harald Fricke, M.D., Ph.D., Chief Medical Officer / Chief Operating Officer
Harald Fricke joined Apogenix GmbH as Chief Medical Officer and Chief Operating Officer in January 2006. Previously, he had been responsible for the global clinical development at Fresenius Biotech GmbH. Prior to this, he was head of Baxter Oncology’s clinical development department. From 1996 to 2001, he held various national and international management positions at SmithKline Beecham and GlaxoSmithKline, respectively.Harald Fricke obtained his M.D. in 1987 after having studied medicine at the Universities of Aachen and Lübeck. From 1987 to 1990, he worked as a postdoc at the Weizman Institute of Science in Israel. Following his accreditation as specialist in internal medicine in 1993, he was awarded his “Habilitation” in 1996 by Ludwig-Maximilian-University in Munich.
